The Skycamp 4.0 Trio is a 3-4 person hard-shell rooftop tent, designed for those who want space without the bulk of a large format. It opens and closes in less than a minute.
Its structure consists of a DuraCore™ fiberglass shell, a breathable and blackout BreathWeave™ 320g/m² canvas, and a ThermaSeal™ honeycomb aluminum floor covered with cork for thermal insulation. Integrated LED lighting and electrical cable passages complete equipment designed to last.
The Trio provides comfortable sleeping for 3 or 4 people, without cluttering your vehicle.

The Skycamp 4.0 represents a significant step forward from the 3.0 generation: a ThermaSeal floor lined with cork for better ground insulation, a reinforced DuraCore shell, a refined blackout BreathWeave fabric, and enlarged doors and windows for more light and ventilation. The usable interior area gains around 480 cm² without changing the footprint. Integrated LED lighting, cable conduit pass-throughs and compatibility with the optional self-inflating mattress complete the upgrades. -
Which vehicles are compatible with the Skycamp 4.0 Trio?
The Skycamp 4.0 Trio is ideal for those who want space without the bulk of a larger format. It suits a wide range of vehicles: estates, compact and mid-size SUVs, and full-size pick-ups. Bigger than a 2-person tent, more compact than a 4-person — it's the perfect middle ground for travelling with 3 or 4 people, with universal Mounting Brackets 3.0 compatible with virtually all roof bars on the market. -
Can you leave bedding inside the Skycamp 4.0 Trio when closed?
Yes, it's possible as long as you choose the right equipment. Opt for compressible sleeping bags and travel pillows, and store them in the rear left corner when closing — that's where the most clearance is once the tent is folded. A fully deflated self-inflating mattress also takes up very little space and makes closing easier. -
How do you install the Skycamp 4.0 Trio on your vehicle?
Installation is done with two people using the provided Allen key, in three steps:- Place the tent on your roof bars, making sure it is well centred.
- Tighten the Mounting Brackets 3.0 onto your bars — compatible with Thule, Yakima, Rhino-Rack, Front Runner and most market standards.
- Unfold the tent and adjust the guy ropes according to the manual instructions.

What roof bars are suitable for the Skycamp 4.0 Trio?
The Skycamp 4.0 Trio mounts on two crossbars — not directly on the vehicle roof. Three criteria to check before purchase:- Minimum dynamic load of 71 kg for the Skycamp 4.0 Trio (64 kg for the Duo, 84 kg for the Quad).
- Bar spacing: between 60 and 125 cm.
- For rack mounting: iKamper mounting rails are 4.5 cm wide — check compatibility with your rack.

What warranty comes with the Skycamp 4.0 Trio?
The Skycamp 4.0 Trio comes with a 2-year limited warranty from the date of purchase, valid only for purchases made through an official distributor. It covers the replacement of defective parts, but excludes normal wear, damage due to misuse or exceptional weather conditions, and any modifications made by the customer.
